💆♀️ General Service Menu
Float41 offers very curated services - the Cromwell location has three different float tank types, an infrared sauna, and contrast therapy, while the West Hartford location offers multiple float tanks and a salt room for halotherapy.
Float41 offers membership options (strongly recommended since maximal benefits are seen with repeated treatments).
Another wonderful feature of their services is that you can spa solo, as a pair, or as a group. If you want a private and serene session to decompress, you can go yourself; with the deluxe float cabin you can go as a pair; and bonus there is plenty of space to go as a group (girls day!?).
Claim to Fame: Float41 is more of a wellness destination than a spa, boasting therapies backed by science for health and wellness
🌿 Atmosphere & Extras
Located in an easy to find building in Cromwell, Float41 is clean and new inside, with calming and minimalist decor. I couldn't hear any traffic noise outside and the treatment rooms were overall quiet and relaxing. There are many thoughtful extras available here, including embroidered robes, sandals, water and tea, and a locker room with hair dryers so you can go about your day with dry hair.
There is a relaxation room separate from the checkout area/entrance, which is a really nice touch to rest in between treatment areas.
Booking is easily done online through their website, and there are ample reminders prior to the appointment.
Each treatment was located within its own room, so it was a luxurious and private experience. All of the equipment looked brand new and in excellent condition. Even the bathroom was immaculately clean and updated.

Infrared Sauna
A unique feature of this specific infrared sauna is that the heat gradually increases to avoid overstimulation and promote sensory friendliness. Most other infrared saunas do not do this.
#spalikeapro tip: Have a playlist ready on your phone (I recommend whitenoise, guided meditation, or binaural sounds)
Comes with Chromotherapy, towels, and water
Float Tank
The float tank comes with fresh water and a cloth to wash your face, earplugs, and ointment to protect any desired areas of your body.
Three types of float tanks are available: The orb/pod, a single person cabin, and a deluxe cabin (for tall individuals or for doubles).
The music in the float tank is surreal and I felt so relaxed
Showers are available in each room, with shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and of course towels
Contrast Therapy was a new experience for me. It included a traditional sauna, which I've done before, but the adjacent cold plunge was quite the experience. The goal is to submerge yourself to stimulate the vagal reflex. Initially, it was a shock, but then it felt really good after the sauna heat. I think everyone should try contrast therapy at least once, if you're medically able to.

What sets Float41 apart from other spas is that they specialize in a few powerful therapies that are backed by scientific evidence and proven to promote wellness. The owner Sarah is extremely knowledgeable and acts as a guide and educator. While not a direct spa, this setting is where healthcare meets luxury. Booking is easy, plus the extras of water, tea, a relaxation room, robes and lockers was excellent. It was new and immaculately clean. I love the idea of being able to go solo or with a group. It is absolutely a unique experience that any dedicated spa-goer or wellness-seeker needs to try.
