My experience: I arrived at the spa and was informed that the hot water was not working and was expected to be back up later, so I was unable to take a shower before my treatments. I was shown the general locker room area but was not given a tour of the pool, gym, or saunas, so I had to find a few of them on my own. The locker rooms looked new and the spa was not crowded, even on a Saturday. I really liked that the steam room was in the women's locker room so it was extra private.

The relaxation and waiting room was gorgeous and serene, quiet, also co-ed. The spa offers lunch you can order, but we ate at the Garden Room and had brunch, which I highly recommend. Teas, wellness cookies, and a delicious bone broth were set out.

Claim to fame: A High-end spa in a rural landscape and gorgeous view.

💆‍♀️ General Service Menu

  • A variety of high-end wellness services from energy work, acupuncture facials, massage, and fitness classes.

🌿 Atmosphere & Extras

  • Booking: It's best to call to book your spa services especially if you're getting more than one. I also emailed to book but did not receive a response.

  • Extras: Really nice layout of teas, snacks, bone broth, as well as showers with shampoo, shower caps, and mouthwash.

  • Atmosphere: Gorgeous views and facility, newer and modern looking. The treatment rooms were cozy, nicely lit and the music was soothing and relaxing. The treatment beds were heated and very comfortable.

  • Service charge is included in the price

  • Amenities: A gym, steam room, sauna, and pool are available as well as showers and locker rooms

🌟Hot Stone Score

I gave the Mayflower Inn a 3.6 Hot Stone Score for several reasons. The hot water was out, which happens, however my main concern was the quality of my treatment. The treatment I received was suppose to be reflexology, but it was actually a foot rub and it seemed to me that the therapist was not actually trained in reflexology. It really detracted from the experience, from a spa that is supposed to be world-class. My facial experience was excellent, night-and-day, and my concern is the high cost of this spa should not result in varied experiences, but instead be consistent. Had they asked me at the end of my treatment how the services were, I would have informed them, but they did not ask me if I was satisfied when I checked out.

Some pros of the Inn were the facilities, atmosphere, and extras, although for the cost I thought the locker room could be cleaner (there were hairs on the counter and in the hair brushes).
